CURYJ’s Associate Director Marlene Sanchez To Receive The Cheyenne Bell Legacy Award
June 19 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Marlene Sanchez will be honored by the Young Women’s Freedom Center for her leadership in the San Francisco and Bay Area community. The Cheyenne Bell Legacy Awards will go to Marlene and two other amazing women in San Francisco that have paved the way for those most impacted.
This is a huge honor for Marlene as she has built strong relationships with the Center from her former days as the Executive Director. She is extremely humbled by the award as Cheyenne was a mentor to her. Marlene is an asset to CURYJ and the community she serves given all the amazing work she continues to do here and with The Center, like fighting to get Juvenile Hall closed down in San Francisco.
Congratulations Marlene, you are an extraordinary leader and this award is well deserved. You pour your blood, sweat, and tears into this work and as a result you are respected in every space you enter.
The Awards will be given at an event on Wednesday, June 19th from 12noon-1:30 p.m. at SF City Hall.
